5-Day Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Experience
Experience one of the world’s most breathtaking cultural events — the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo — coming to Brisbane in February 2026. Rooted in centuries-old Scottish tradition, the Tattoo features massed pipes and drums, Highland dancing, and military displays performed by over 1,000 artists from around the globe.
This tour offers a relaxed stay on the Gold Coast, with return transfers to Brisbane on Friday evening for those attending the Tattoo. Please note event tickets for the Friday Night Show are NOT included and must be purchased separately.

Your 5-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Wednesday: Home To Sunshine - Your Journey Begins to Ballina
Door-to-door home pickups this morning from Newcastle, Lake Macquarie or Maitland as we begin our relaxed journey north. We’ll take in the sights along the way, stopping near Taree for morning tea served from the coach.
As we continue through Coffs Harbour, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch before arriving in Ballina for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2
Thursday: A Day at Sea World
After breakfast, we travel north along the Pacific Highway to the Gold Coast and spend the day at Sea World. Explore marine life exhibits, enjoy the rides, and take in free shows throughout the park. Sea World is also home to important rescue and rehabilitation efforts for marine animals.
Lunch is at your own pace, with plenty of options available inside the park. Later this afternoon, we rejoin the coach and make our way to our accommodation situated close to the Star Casino and Pacific Square shopping centre, where we’ll settle in for the next two nights.

Day 3
Friday: Explore the Gold Coast & Edinburgh Tattoo Show
Enjoy a relaxed start this morning with breakfast at the hotel. The day is yours to explore — Surfers Paradise is just a short walk or tram ride away. Your driver will also offer a transfer to and from the city centre this afternoon.
Today’s activities are at your own expense. You might like to book a river cruise, head up to the Sunshine Coast, or explore the hinterland — reception can help arrange these. Be sure return in time for transfers tonight to the Edinburgh Tattoo feature (you must have your own tickets purchased), your coach driver will drop you off and pick you up after the show this evening.

Day 4
Saturday: Coastal highlights & Coffs Harbour stay
After breakfast, we travel south along the Pacific Highway with a scenic detour to Byron Bay for morning tea at Australia’s most easterly point. We follow the coastline through Lennox Head before arriving in Grafton, where you'll have free time to explore.
We then meet for lunch at the Grafton District Services Club. This afternoon, we continue to Coffs Harbour and settle in our accommodation for the night.

Day 5
Sunday: Farewell Coffs & Homeward Bound
After breakfast, we will say goodbye to Coffs Harbour with a view of the port area and the break wall and continue down to Taree RSL for our last meal together sharing our memories before being dropped back at our front door.
