Your 4-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Monday: Newcastle to Port Macquarie
We head north from Newcastle, stopping along the way for morning tea and fresh country air. Lunch is a laid-back picnic at North Brother Lookout, with sweeping views over Laurieton and the Camden Haven coast.
In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided visit to the much-loved Koala Hospital, hearing about their conservation efforts and getting to know these iconic animals.
We settle in for three nights by the water at a comfortable 3-star hotel.

Day 2
Tuesday: Church, Cruise & Fresh-Picked Treats
After breakfast, we visit one of Australia’s oldest churches, the convict-built St Thomas’ Anglican Church. A local guide shares the fascinating history behind this heritage landmark.
Then it's time to relax aboard a calm lunchtime cruise along the Hastings River estuary. Enjoy fresh air, local scenery and a meal on the water. Later, we visit Ricardoes Tomatoes and Strawberries, where you’ll have the chance to pick a punnet of sweet red berries straight from the vines.

Day 3
Wednesday: Zoo and Winery
Our morning begins at Billabong Zoo, home to a wide variety of native and exotic species including koalas, snow leopards, meerkats and red pandas.
Enjoy lunch onsite before we make our way to the Cassegrain winery. A guided tasting and tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at their winemaking process and French-Australian roots.
Relax in the leafy surrounds and sample some of the region’s finest drops.

Day 4
Thursday: Scenic Coastal Return Home
After breakfast, we farewell Port Macquarie and begin our coastal drive home.
We stop at Tacking Point Lighthouse for breathtaking views across Lighthouse Beach.
Then it's on to Long Point Vineyard and Art Gallery at Lake Cathie for a final tasting experience.
Lunch is served at the Taree RSL before our return to Newcastle in the afternoon, with door-to-door drop-offs provided.
