Your 8-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Monday: Home to Armidale
Your journey begins with a door-to-door pickup before we hit the road. Enjoy morning tea at a favourite scenic spot en route, followed by a picnic lunch in Tamworth’s tree-lined parklands. This evening, settle into your Armidale motel and enjoy a welcome dinner with the group.

Day 2
Tuesday: Armidale to Toowoomba
Today we travel through Glen Innes and historic Tenterfield, birthplace of Australian Federation. Stop for lunch platters and tastings at Jamworks Gourmet Foods in the Granite Belt, then travel through fruit-growing regions before arriving in Toowoomba. Toowoomba is known for its preserved Victorian-era and traditional Queenslander architecture, historic churches and gardens, food and coffee culture, street art and laneways, and numerous nature trails - contributing to its rich heritage and thriving arts scene.

Day 3
Wednesday: Toowoomba to Bundaberg
In the morning, after another hearty cooked breakfast, we head towards the coast. First stop: morning tea at the Burnett Energy and Visitor Information Centre on the Burnett Highway, where you’ll learn about energy generation and see original 1933 motors in action.
We continue on to Nanango—Queensland’s fourth oldest town, known for its country charm, vine scrublands, cool summers and rich history. It's relaxed, friendly and full of character.
From here, we travel through Ban Ban Springs and make our way to Biggenden for lunch at a local hotel. After lunch, there's free time to explore—check out the local arts and crafts centre or pop into the Historical Museum (optional, entry at own expense).
This afternoon, sit back and relax as we venture on to Bundaberg, where you’ll unpack and settle in for the next three nights. Dinner will be served tonight at your motel.

Day 4
Thursday: Bundaberg Touring & Turtle Hatching
This morning, explore aviation history at the Hinkler Hall of Aviation, followed by visits to Fairymead House and the Sugar Museum. In the afternoon, enjoy a tasting experience at the Bundaberg Barrel, home of the famous ginger beer.
After an early dinner, we head to Mon Repos Visitor Centre & Conservation Park for a ranger-led guided turtle hatching experience a once in a lifetime chance to watch newborn turtles crawl from nest to sea.
Please note: Sightings are highly likely but not guaranteed. Suitable fitness and footwear required, warm clothing recommended.

Day 5
Friday: River Cruising & Rum Tasting
Take a scenic town tour with our coach captain and enjoy morning tea at a local lookout. Then relax on the Bundy Belle lunch cruise along the Burnett River, soaking in the history and charm. This afternoon, dive into local flavours at the Bundaberg Rum Distillery—with stories, samples and shopping.

Day 6
Saturday: Coast to Gold Coast & Outback Spectacular
Depart Bundaberg and travel via Maryborough and the beautiful seaside town Tin Can Bay known for its abundant wildlife for a picnic lunch by the ocean. Continue along the scenic coastal route to the Gold Coast, where tonight we enjoy the Australian Outback Spectacular’s Heartland Show—a moving story of courage and resilience, served with a delicious three-course dinner and drinks.

Day 7
Sunday: Gold Coast to Coffs Harbour
After breakfast, enjoy a coastal drive through Byron Bay, Lennox Head and Ballina. Enjoy free time and lunch (at own cost) in this bustling seaside town known for fresh seafood. Later, check in to your 4-star oceanfront resort in Coffs Harbour for a relaxing evening.

Monday: Coffs Harbour to Home
